I may just change my plans for my gravestone now!

So far the plan has been:

YOU ARE HERE

My grx4 grfather was a parish clerk in Cornwall, and his notation in the burials entries says: "a worthy man". I suspect he made the entry himself beforehand. ;)

I was amused at an entry in the Sutton Courtenay (Berks/Oxon) baptisms.

After entering the childs name and "illigitimate" putative father ..............in the margin he writes "or so she says" !!

Have just been trawling through some records on the Family Search Pilot and at the bottom of a page of burials was the entry number of one of the deceased and the comment 'a furious unbeliever, was buried with the shortened form, recommended by corporation'. I can't stop laughing at the vision I had in my head after reading that.

By the way my trawl was so worthwhile - after months of searching have found the burial of 3xg grandfather.
