I was going to be predictable and say that my favourite place in the world is Barcelona - which it probably is -

but then Rose reminded me of the Amalfi coast. I was there numerous times with my mum, who loved that part of the word. As a much younger me , I memorised the names of every town on the coast, and they've just come back to me:

Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Maiori, Tramonti, Minori, Ravello, Scala, Atrani, Amalfi, Conca dei Marini, Furore, Praiano and Positano.

Sue (with so many memories, mum!)

Hi Chris, when I joined it was £9.95 for a year and so when i renew that is what I pay, however if I had let my membership lapse and then re-joined it would be at the 'new' rate of £9.95 for six months.

Why is it £9 odd for 6 months instead of a year. Have I missed something? I renewed in Jan.

I'm not here, you didn't see me and I didn't renew ! (lol too tight to pay £9.95 for 6 months rather than a year but I'm trying to stay off for a bit !) ...

but if I were here, I would have to say London, and abroad probably Schruns in Austria,

and for at least one place I would like to go before I die

Positano on the Amalfi coast :)

I don't really have a favourite place, I love all the places we visit and have seen some fabulous sights in the States and Canada (All the canyons, Yosemite, New Orleans, Florida, New England, Yellowstone, Canadian Rockies). I love Paris so that is probably my favourite city, But I loved Florence too. See, I can't choose. Favourite for holidays at the moment has to be North Tenerife where we are always so relaxed. Favourite in UK has to be the Lake District which is like a second home we have been there so often.

Don't know if there is anywhere I haven't been that I would really like to go. Maybe New Zealand or Iceland, again can't choose just one.

Our lovely Peak District with its varying scenery, Chatsworth House, all the diverse foods, Bakewell for the Tart and Pudding, and Buxton. They've got a Waitrose in Buxton. Wow, how I envy them. Lovely shops everywhere.

If I had to choose a city it would be Paris. No city comes close in my mind.

I love it.

you all would just love the Boro
the view over the chemical works is spectacular
and the smell of the river tees
as you swim amongst the algae
watching the rats basking in the sunshine
well we will say no more about that lol

But we do have wonderful shopping centers
and the night life is fantastic

I have never been to Italy - and I really want to, so many places I want to see there.

One of my favourite places in the world is a bay in Devon, just love it:). But then, in contrast London is probably my most favourite.

My favourite place in the world is Florida. I just love everything about it, Disney & the theme parks to the beaches, NASA & even the cheesy "Have a nice day" friendliness which you dont get here.
It will be my third visit next year, and unexpected & I cant wait :o))))

I would like to go to Australia , but thats just too far away & too much money.
