I've only just remembered but I can't remember what it is......don't you just hate that!

Oo senior moments...I had a classic one this week,,,Dental appointment 2pm ,80 mile round trip up here,got there,it was the next day.....worst thing was I had an old school friend staying with me for a few days..Will never hear the end of that one !!

Use my card at the ATM at least once a week.
Yesterday got to the machine and completely forgot my PIN. Now got no card.

But can now remember what the number was.

I forget things all the time and then I remember when I'm lying in bed at night and it's to late to do anything about it .
Daughter said to me the other day what was the name of that singer back in the 60's who wore no shoes, I could not remember till I got to bed Yes SANDIE SHAW

oh Glitter, i do that with passwords all the time. I also do that Fiona and then think, I must remember that in the morning and then I've forgotten again lol

Yep sounds familiar so I have a pen and pad
at my bedside and write it down, then I can get
to sleep.

That's a good idea,pen and paper at the bedside..I remember things in the middle of the night and it's gone by morning..(

Isn't growing older wonderful - you can forget all the bad things and remember only the good. You can tell stories and exaggerate (no one about to contradict you)!

Do not however forget to claim for your bus pass (if you can use one) and your free tv licence at 75 or OH whosever b'day comes earlier!

Forgetful Poem

My forgetter's getting better
But my rememberer is broke.
To you that may seem funny but,
To me, that is no joke.

For when I'm "here" I'm wondering
If I really should be "there."
And, when I try to think it through,
I haven't got a prayer!

Oft times I walk into a room,
Say "what am I here for?"
I wrack my brain, but all in vain
A zero, is my score.

At times I put something away
Where it is safe, but, Gee!
The person it is safest from
Is, generally, me!

When shopping I may see someone,
Say "Hi" and have a chat,
Then, when the person walks away,
I ask myself, "who's that?"

Yes, my forgetter's getting better
While my rememberer is broke,
And it's driving me plumb crazy
And that isn't any joke.

Don't forget to laugh!

Emma, be sure to tell your friends that i have had that poem for some time now, i lost it for a while, but just found it in the fridge!!!

I've remembered 1 thing that I should have done months ago....just need to remember the other 1000 things I haven't remembered to do .

Remember Today is the Tomorrow you worried about Yesterday.

I Can't Remember

Just a line to say I'm living
that I'm not among the dead,
Though I'm getting more forgetful
and mixed up in my head

I got used to my arthritis
to my dentures I'm resigned,
I can manage my bifocals
but God, I miss my mind

For sometimes I can't remember
when I stand at the foot of the stairs,
If I must go up for something
or have I just come down from there?

And before the fridge so often
my poor mind is filled with doubt,
Have I just put food away, or
have I come to take some out?

And there's a time when it is dark
with my nightcap on my head,
I don't know if I'm retiring, or
just getting out of bed

So, if it's my turn to write you
there's no need for getting sore,
I may think I have written
and don't want to be a bore

So, remember that I love you
and wish that you were near,
But now it's nearly mail time
So I must say goodbye, dear

There I stand beside the mail box
with a face so very red,
Instead of mailing you my letter
I opened it instead

ill go upstairs for somthing, get distracted and forget what i went up for, only to walk round puzzled till it pops in my head again lol x
