I got a letter this morning from grandsons school.He goes to a special school because of his adhd.He is due back on Monday.The letter is telling me how things have changed in the school holidays.The letter is from the new headmaster telling me most of the old staff gone and we have new staff?Grandson has to wear a uniform now.All the old rules have changed.My grandson is not very happy.He was doing so well at that small school.He might as well go back into main stream school now as this school has now got all the same rules. Nothing was said about any of this before they broke up.I have just signed a new statement for him naming that school as he was doing well.Annie

I think you are entitled to an explanation. To change things arbitrarily like this is wrong. Can you visit the school? Staff often start a few days sooner than pupils, so you might get an interview if you shout loud enough. How can they expect you to suddenly provide uniform? Not enough notice on a small income.

Ohhh, how traumatic is that! Any child starting a new school has anxieties, but to change it all around at the last minute is totally unexceptible!!!

they are not allowed to change to a uniform only school
at two days notice

They are giving me 2 shirts with school logo on.The rest i have to buy.There is only 20 pupils there and so it was very laid back.Grandson was loving it and has never played up there.Two pupils everyday would have to go to kitchen and with support cook that days dinner for everyone.Now they have doubled and refitted the kitchen and hired staff to cook.I think its all wrong what they have done. Annie
