Future census's

Been looking at census's recently and came up with this thought, why didn't they put a married ladies birth surname as one of the questions being asked, it would help us alot with our research. Maybe they could included the question in future forms.

I think that would be a really helpful piece of information on census reports.

However I have heard reports that the government are thinking of making the 2011 census the last one because of the cost. I really hope this is not the case.

Besides, what about all the people who are or were ,living together while letting the neighbours think they were married.
What a scandal.
Mind you it would save a lot of fruitless searching for non existent marriages.
