I am a bit stuck. I recieved my grandmas birth certificate yesterday and am having trouble finding anything about her parents. Would anybody be able to help. My Grandma was born Josephine Gardner on 27 06 1930, London and her parents were Arthur George Gardner and Elizabeth Sorbie. |

Had a quick look and wonder if Elizabeth was married before. i see Josephine was the eldest of 3 so the marriage should be pre 1930 |

Yes his occupation is given as a butler at 12 Harberton Road, Upper Holloway, London. It also says on the very right hand side of my Grandams birth certificate adopted. Which we thought she was. I have her adoption certificate and my dad said she was adopted by her Aunt. All the names seem to tie up with thte certificate I recieved yesterday |
