The exterior shots were in Lister Avenue in Balby, a suburb of Doncaster; the shop itself was a hairdresser's salon called Helen's Beautique, located at No 15 Lister Avenue. Gladys Emanuel's house was 34 Lister Avenue, in the first series, but moved to number 32 in the second series. |
