My Neighbours Brother in Law died in the towers that terrible day .His wife had their first baby a month later.
I was doing the ironing and watching the unbelievable horror .My Mum was sat on the settee next to me (she had Dementia) and asked me "Are we at war"?
One of the images that sticks in my mind is of the firemen carrying their 'Pastor 'out of one of the towers. He looked unconcious ,but was in fact dead !
My thoughts are with all the survivors and all the families of those lost on 9/11

A dreadful time for the whole world. My son was in the army here in Aus. at the time and working on an air-force base. He rang me to tell me he couldn't come down for the weekend as planned because they were all to stay on base and under a red alert. I stupidly thought that the atrocity wouldn't affect Australia - how naive or was it wishful thinking.

My thoughts go out to all.
