Does anyone know if a Death record dosent have an age next to it does it mean they were babies are does it mean the age at death was not recorded?? please help

If you mean on the GRO index, babies have a 0..or other young age shown.
Before 1860s, not sure of actual date, no ages were shown on the index, so there is no way of telling how old the person was, hours, days or many years.
However....
I had that problem recently and rang the local office where the death had first been registered and they told me the age of the person I was asking about, so I could decide then whether or not he was likely to be my relative.

Early deaths don't have age at death in the index. This didn't start to happen until 1866. More recently, they now include the date of birth.

What year is the record you have found with no age?

A baby under 1 year is shown as 0.

The reocrd i have found is 1848 that will be why then thankyou everyone

So if i ring the right register office theymay be able to tell me how old the person was??

Records Offices don't deal with the certificates..

You can try phoning the appropriate Register Office and see how you get on.
I've had nothing but pleasant staff whenever I've phoned any Office and they've gone out of their way to help.

If you can locate the person on the 1841 census then you may be able to find their burial in parish records.
It would depend of course depend on whether they had moved in the intervening seven yrs of have a common name.
It's much easier to find people in small towns than large cities but you may be lucky.
The LDS have filmed many parish records or members on here may have access to them.
