lol just watching X Factor, Niccolo the Italian... Cheryl going gooey eyed, Simon saying "if he came from Stoke you wouldn't be interested'

he has a point... there is something about a continental accent that captures the attention :)

(nicely said, piglet)

Just give me a man who looks like Vinnie Jones/Ray Winston/Razor Ruddick and I'd see my days out happy (old woman dreams on....)

Again with the Vinnie Jones. So this time I had to google for images.

Ew.

That's just sad. Does he have a nice personality or something?

Razor Ruddick? Google says do I mean Razor Ruddock, who is Donovan Ruddock, who was a Canadian heavyweight champion. ?

Okay, Ray Winstone (you probably need to spell their names right if you want to win them), that name I may recognize.

Yeesh, he's summat younger than No.1, and looks like he could be his father. (Haha, if you spell his name wrong, google sneaks a picture of Paul Newman into the results.)

Well, I see he did have better-looking younger days.

btw, Rose, there's something about just about any accent that gives 'em an edge.

Except upstate New York. I'd be hanged for spousal homicide if I had to live with that.

Had to laugh at your post Janey, o.h's d.i.l. of 18 months lives in NY - Red Hook - and came over recently for a family wedding, our first time of meeting her and the accent, omg it's so awful, nasal, twangy, can't describe it but o.h.'s other son, and others, said how dreadful she sounds and o.h. has taken a real dislike to her, not for the accent tho, for other reasons.

I must admit I even thought it strong and I have heard many accents, my friend in Miami, a Norwich girl who has lived Stateside for years now, has a strong accent but not as bad as the NY one lol

Re XFactor, I thought at first Nicolo was a little arrogant but then he came over quite shy and blushing, aw bless!

I used to think Imran Khan was a dish but now he's aged he isn't quite so exciting, used to go for Omar Sharif when he was younger too. Somehow they don't appeal so much now they are older but why doesn't my brain realise that I too am much older now lol
