Hi Julie I am so sorry to hear about your daughter, as I
have RA I feel for her and what she goes through. I used
to take Rosehip and my children did years ago didn't think
it was still on the go, worth the try. Has someone recommended it to help your daughter

Hi Emma

No they haven't......My daughter has had JCA since she was 2½ & is under GOSH, she has had quite a few Steroid injections in her joints over the years & the last time was in June but to me they haven't worked as good as they have in the past.

I was reading in one of my magazines about Rosehip so looked on the net and it was recommended for Arthritis.

So was wondering if anyone had tried it before

Julie,

I wouldn't have thought it would do her any harm and would boost her Vit C intake.

I love Rosehip Syrup - reminds me of school lunches, just post-WW2, when we had a swirl of it on our rice pudding.

Hi Julie I agree with Elisabeth give it a go and I also
thought that the steroid injections were not having the
same effect for me so asked GP who said that the strength
of the steroid was cut by half due to side affects.

Emma

if that is the case as to what your Dr told you then that would make sense

My daughter had an injection in March which never worked, when we went for a follow up app they said that we wasn't the only ones that felt it hadn't worked so they thought it might have been a "dodgy " batch...but as i feel the one in June hasn't worked either then maybe that co-insides with what your Dr said.......i will ask when we go back to GOSH next week

Many thanks & take care
xx

Julie I live in Aberdeen so may be different in your area.
I got mine in the first week of June before I went to Spain
to give my husband a break from helping me get on my
feet every time I stood up. I ended up in a wheelchair for
the whole week, am getting too old for going abroad now
too stressful. Thinking of getting some Rosehip myself,
thanks for the tip.

I was intrigued reading this and have looked up juvenile chronic arthritis.

My question is this - as well as taking rosehip syrup would the rubbing of Rosehip oil be beneficial to badly affected joints.

I had a non- malignant irritating skin cancer (it kept scaling and bleeding) removed from my face he had to dig deep to remove it all and the scar goes down my right cheek which he very nicely did along the smile lines of my face and one of the things I had to do was to rub rosehip oil onto the scar and the redness of the scar reduced considerably and you would hardly know that I had it done now. It was done abt five years ago.
