My landline went off last week, and has only just been repaired today.
It cost me £15 in calls from a mobile to ring them, and had to threaten them with legal action, before a supervisor rang me back after numerous requests.
When I reported it, I got a txt saying it would be repaired by last Saturday. They only discount your rental after 4 days, and pay you £1 a day for the inconvenience of having your calls transferred to a mobile. They only offered this service after a week without my landline.
BT, like every other company take their money quick enough, but can't give the service you pay for.
The millions they make every second, they had the nerve to say they're short of resources!!!!

I w as recently without a land line /internet access for 5 weeks. A major disaster as I live abroad & it´s my only means of communicating with friends & family in the UK.
The problem started when I changed companies from Spanish Telefonica to BT Spain. After 5 months I was still being billed by Telefonica & because I didn´t pay them, they disconnected the line which is rented from them by BT.I was also paying BT.
After 5 weeks I was finally assured by BT that all was in order.
Last week I recieved a bill from Telefonica for line rental & calls as well as having paid BT again. So far it has cost me nearly €500 because Telefonica insist that you pay upfront & then reclaim any money paid in error. It,s blackmail, because if you don´t pay, they disconnect the line.
Still battling.

Hi, I dont think that we have spoken before, but did you know that if your landline goes down for any lengh of time bt will transfer your calls to your mobile for no extra charge. I've had this done for me many times. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that info .
Not sure that it would apply to BT in Spain & to be fair, it´s not their fault. We are basically being held to ransome by Telefonica who own the line & rent it to BT. Telefonica are renowned for behaving like this & they never answer letters or return phone calls, so everyone is completely helpless.
