i am looking for a washing machine for my sil, my friend said her daughter had her one 50 miles away and if i gave her son in lawl 30.00 for petrol i could have the machine.
we delivered the machine to my sis in law, a few hours later we had a call to say it leaked all over the floor,, specky went and unblocked the out pipe next day she switched it on it filled up then just conked out, ive just found out my friend new it had leaked at her flat, do you think i should ask for my money back ?

Definitely, that's a real ripoff thing to do.

Well , you say the money was for petrol not the machine , and the machine was delivered .

you have a point amy, but would you pay someone to pick a faultry washing machine up.

If your 'friend' knew it was not fit for purpose she should have told you so, it depends how much you value her friendship as to whether you say anything? ... but IMO if she is any kind of friend she will offer the money without you asking!

hi puss, consider this would a really good friend give you something free or for money knowing it would give you grief? a real friend wouldnt do that to you. how long have you known her?

with friends like that who needs enemies. If money is tight have you tried freecycle. I gave away a washer working perfectly as my drier had bit the dust and I bought a washer/drier
