I would just like to say a HUGE thankyou to everyone on the forum, i have been researching my family tree for a few years now but haven't got very far with it until the past few months and i couldn't have done it without the help of you lot. There has been times when i've nearly been pulling my hair out when i have hit a brick wall but i now know i only need to ask and someone is there to help.

Hi Rachel -- was that on Trying to Find or one of the other family history boards? A lot of the people who hang around there don't read the chat board (and might not recognize your name if they did).

Give the Success Stories board a try, and don't forget to mention some names of the helpful people. Everybody likes to see their name in lights. ;)

Er ... how embarrassing. ;)

Checking My Threads ... not Master Forster, then? (I actually did do some more hunting for him just before reading this post, but no luck.) We still haven't found him! (Get the birth certificate!!)

ha ha yes is was Mr Forster, i'm rather skint an the moment so will purchase the cert once pay day comes.
