I just wanted to share this story with you......

My nana died 9th August 2005 @ 6.30 am in Sunderland

She was in hospital for 6 weeks before she died and rarely got out of bed, one day she asked the nurses if she could sit in the chair for visiting as she was sick of the bed. When we came to visit we were shocked that she was up, and thought things were looking brighter and she was getting better.
She asked for us to blow the fan on her face so she felt like the wind was blowing on her face, she got me brushing her hair and spraying her with deodorant..... she was wiggling her feet up and down too. My mam joked on with her saying "who are you planning on meeting when we have gone" and she smiled and answered.... "oooo wouldn't you like to know.... i'm just doing my exercises because i'm getting out of this hospital tomorrow!!!
Sadly the next morning she past away, but the strange and really spooky thing is she died at the same time (6.30am) and on the same date (9th Aug) as my late grandad but 19 years later.

Its as if my grandad called for her and she knew she was going.

I will never forget them, loved them so much

There are more things possible in this world than we know of. I believe in spirits remaining near to loved ones.

I am sorry for the passing of your Gran Rachel, she must have known her time was comming.
My Mum was very bright and calm the day before she died in hospital and the day before my Dad died earlier this year he said he wanted to go home. My Sister and I planned to take him to his house but he died that evening.
He was a practicing Catholic and I think his "home" he refered to must have been heaven.
Like Jean, I feel that family from the spirit world wait for a loved one to pass over.

Thankyou, i'm sorry to hear about your dad.

I think he must have meant home as in heaven, i've heard alot of people say that people have a burst of energy just before they die. My father has also passed away, it was 4 years tues for him, i always feel that he is with me to look after me .

Wow that is mad, i bet you will never forget where the grave is now.

I think it is really spooky how things like that can happen, they must have made you slip to get your attention. I bet you were a little freaked out?

That's a lovely story, Rachel. I knew we wouldn't see my father again when we left after visiting him in the nursing home. He told me he loved me, called me by name (he had dementia) and sat up and waved goodbye. I wasn't surprised to get a phone call the next morning. He talked about his parents and the son they lost before I was born so I knew they were waiting for him. Such a comfort to know he is with the people he loved so much.

Very interesting story! My father died from Alzheimer's Oct 2005, when he heard he had it he promised me he would never forget me. Visiting him in the last years he did not know me, but just before he died, he too sat up, knew my name, asked questions about family members, and told me how for the longest time he could not find his way back home and was sorry about that! Truly a promise was kept and to me, a miracle received. Over 20 years before that event, my mom died. There was no doubt that just before she was talking with "Visitors" who I knew were family members deceased. Truly, there is a spiritual world if we have eyes to see and ears to hear.

My father, when he died, had just said to his baby son, 'Theres a good boy, Freddie, coming to meet me' This was some 40 years after freddie died and he was no longer mentioned. Might add, He came to me in a dream the night before his funeral and told me not to worry, he was really happy where he was. Had an open mind ever since.

My mother died 16/9/1996.Dad had his stroke 17/9/2006. His brother died 17/9/2009.
