Dear All

Hello

On Tuesday 21 September, it is International Peace Day.

This is celebrated throughout the world.

Instituted in 1981, this is a time when countries come together to celebrate a lack of hostility between nations.

There are often special services to mark the day.
Some prefer to have a few moments to reflect or to light a candle.

Hi Elizabeth,

The trouble is there are so many special days now it's impossible to keep track of them. Special awareness weeks as well I think. Maybe one of the tv news programmes could have a little sticker in the corner keeping us updated.
