there was more ...the agent said we could have the key last Sunday on the quiet, then on Sunday I got an e-mail saying sorry owners sis and b-i-l are staying on till Thursday ....mmmm

Seemed strange to me as I know owner has packed all the bedding etc. away. so I have wandered past there a few times as you do, and the place has always been empty. Yesterday I stuck a piece of string over the gate ..didn't need to check if it was still there, I ran into to somebody who knows T&T and they told me they went home on Sunday.

No I am not angry, I just don't care anymore
I now move in (officially) 2 days ..yeah right.

Tooty I have re-read the contract and believe me if I could get out I would, but OH doesn't think its wise ..

I effing knew this was wrong but hey ho won't be the 1st won't be the last wrong 'un I done.

Just gutted about it all.

I don't have any answers either but it does seem that the agent miss sold you the tenancy.

I'd be reading the contract to see if I could find a get out clause but then again it sounds if you can then you may be homeless whilst you find an alternative

Can't give you any answers Uzzi to make you feel better,but hope things get resolved and you can at least enjoy the short time in your new home.

met up with people today (as you do) and said are you selling, yes we have sold etc etc me should have rented it to me. them didn't know you was looking (thanks ******)
anyway I said where we are going but explained now only have 11mths ..the answer
yes J****** said if she could rent hers out she would move out next year.
So my agents always knew it was only for 11mths. I am so *****ng annoyed, nay I am fumingly annoyed.

and I move next week, to something that can never be a home, from something that has been a home for 6yrs.

Teresa you are right on the animal side of things, so many don't want 2 dogs in there. Although I will say when we were looking for long lets the dogs were not that much of a problem as the ridiculas price they wanted.
This place was great as the price is even lower then what we had decided was affordable and fair.
I'm also annoyed as we could have moved the bus to a small private pitch, 2months ago,the pitch would have cost us the same as where we are going but I could have had space for my kitchen tent and storage boxes. BUT we want to sell the bus and have a bit more room ...not that we are getting much more room but there is a 2nd bedroom we can store in.

I'm so deflated with it all (mmm now that would be good lol ). It hasn't been the easiest of move attempts so far and with less then 2 weeks to go I still have only packed 4 boxes.
I gave my pool away today because I will have no room to put it up next summer and now no room to (**^^% store it.

Trouble is Uzzi the contract was signed in good faith and the agents seem to be pushing the property as if they were doing you a favour. It is not your fault the agent was acting in that way, telling you that you were lucky that there was a youngish owner.

A relative had a similar move of house. They needed to rent but many rental companies would not take people with animals. My relative finally found a property and although not what they wanted made it a home with a fresh lick of paint but nothing else, and stayed a year until they managed to rent a place that allowed animals in an area where they wanted to be for work etc.

Just got to nip off line to feed hungry offspring. I will be back in a while.

We signed the contract back in August I thought they were doing a push job because of a fire we hadrecent on the campsite and it wasn't my ideal choice of places, they said it was so the owner pulled it off the sale market. a couple of weeks ago I got an ambiguous (??) e-mail advising me me not to spend too much in the 1st year that wasn't movable just incase of mind changing. Yep it should have warned me but the same e-mail told me that I was one of the lucky ones and had a youngish owner not about to retire. !

Should have also twigged when I was told to keep a low profile this week and heard the owner was told I was away ...who goes away a week before they move ??

Cybers kick up the whastit to your agent with both feet.

Actually I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Okay so I was apprehensive about this move, with the consolation that we could always move in 11months ..but by then I will probably be settled.
With all the hassle that I have been having trying to get the key so I can go have a looksee at a few things I finally gave up and said sod it I'll get the key on the 1st and sort things after ..so I changed dates for my internet to get moved to the 4th OH sorted days off for the 3rd and 4th (can't get holiday) .
The agent then said keep a low profile for this week (the owner is out for 5days) and after the owner goes home on the 26th you can have the key for keeps.
Okay that sounds good.

ha ha the owner came and found me and said pop round and measure up tomorrow but how starnge the agent said you was away this week.

We thought we had a rolling 11mth contract and the use of the shed (apart from a few outside chair bits and things for our use)

The owner is moving out full time next year. So we will be out at the end of August ..just when OH is at his busiest work wise.
The agents knew this aswell.

I just know that I won't have the heart to try and make a home of it.

So far I have been very, very calm .........
