I have seen a few old episodes and there was one character called Tom Merrick played by Edward Peel. He was a snarling villain who did seem cheery at first until Amos upset him.

I was glad to have visited Esholt.

Hi

I have been an Emmerdale watcher on and off since the plane crash. I watched it regularly from late 1993 to 2000 then from 2003 to 2004 and from 2008 to the present day. I dont think I wills top watching Emmerdale now.

I can remember Annie in a coma, Amos returning for Joe's funeral and Annie proposing to him and I can vividly remember the original Dingle clan such as Nellie, Tina and Mandy.

I recently visited Esholt which is where the village scenes of Emmerdale were filmed from 1975 to 1997. I took many photos and have uploaded some to a few photo websites I am on. Me and mum had a nice meal in the Woolpack which shut last month. I have a few books on the programme, the first one I bought was in 1997 for the shows 25th anniversary.

Modern day Emmerdale is full of youngsters. Turner remains my fave. Mark Wylde was good but only was in the show a year.

Anyone else watch Emmerdale?
