There is no concept of a 'lapsed' member on GR. You remain a member for all time unless you choose to delete your profile from the website. |

Linda the details remain on the site, it is possible that GR will notify the person that they have a message, but that will only get through if the person is still using the same email address. |

i know how it feels as i hardly ever get any replys to my emails asking if we have a connection although most of them get opened and i send quite a lot but i still often wonder if we ever did have a connection but i guess ill never know. |

It is annoying and even more so when they have been opened and still no reply even to say 'no'. |

If a person is no longer a memer but has kept the same email address they will still be sent an email by Genes telling them that they have a message and they can still view the message and respond to it. The only thing they can't do is initiate a contact or add to the community boards. |
