deleted tree

Hi, I'm new to all this, and started a tree the other day, ended up putting my mother on three times, could I get rid of two could I heck, so today I deleted the whole tree and started again, have I broken genes reunited rules, sorry if I have, but slowly getting the hang of things,.......help

lol - no, you haven't broken any rules! Your tree is yours, to do as you wish. Just make sure you don't put the names of living relatives on it without their permission, especially children.

Use the 'hide living relatives' function, and you'd be wise not to open your tree to contacts until you are sure they won't copy everything!

Make use of the 'add partner, child, mother, father' buttons etc. If you add one parent, the opposite sex parent is automatically created with blank details.

If you need any help with your research, go on to the Trying to Find or Records boards and volunteers will be delighted to help.

Just keep working at it Lorraine and don't get discouraged. I made loads of mistakes when I first started.
