last friday i sold something on ebay, the guy paid by cheque, and when the cheque came i noticed heput an address on back of envelope so when i got the item ready for posting i noticed the address he had on ebay was different to the address on envelope so i decided to send item to his ebay address and i sent the guy an email telling him i posted his item to his ebay address, i sent him a email yesterday afternoon and didnt come online till last night so didnt get his email till i came online last night, his email to me says send item to address on envelope as he had moved house, im just wondering what do do i do?

Personally I wouldn`t send anything until the cheque has cleared anyway.....then send it to which ever address he chooses.

I thought everything on Ebay went through Paypal? ...I `ve only ever bought, not sold but have always used Paypal....that way you won`t get ripped off.

i normally do paypal as well but i agreed to the cheque and normally waited for it to clear but as it was only for a couple of quid decided to send item anyway

Well if you`ve already sent it theres not much you can do if its the wrong address anyway.

but personally I wouldn`t have any problem sending it to a different address to the one on his Ebay account...if he`s paid for it then technically its his, so surely he can have it sent wherever he wants.

Though i think its funny to just write the address on the back of an envelope. I would have put a note in with the cheque saying please post to........

I`m sure he will be in touch with you if he dosn`t receive it
