there is with family tree maker, by using the merge trees facility,
it compares two similar sets of facts, and asks IF you think they are close enough (same enough- same person)to merge........but as suggested, Its best to investigate any new info, before accepting it as fact........

Personally, I'd want to check out all the information before I added it to my tree.

Hello, I have family tree maker on my system and have started to put my tree on. I have recently been sent another tree with information I have not seen before.

Is there any way I can merge the 2 trees with out having to type everything form one tree to another.
