It's about time those near to central government were bought to book.
There's far too much of the 'Old boys network' .

Note that it's the Telegraph with the 'breaking news' - we know what they did for politicians' 'expenses' claims!! LOL

Maybe I'm too hopeful - but I'm hopeful!

Maybe, Maggie. that's certainly how it should be....

But I wouldn't have too much faith in quick action from HMRC - it's taken them years to realise that they've overpaid some of us, and undercharged a whole lot more.

And - call me an old cynic if you will - but I dare bet that this one will die a very quiet death. Too many people near the centre of government would be directly affected by this.

While I could count on one amputated finger how may would be affected by benefit fraud.

High earners with Swiss bank accounts are being investigated by the British Tax office, to see if they should have paid tax.
Thanks to a HSBC worker in Switzerland who stole documents relating to 200 British accounts.

The money due could run into 'many' millions of pounds - and this is just HSBC!

Gosh - do you think the government may now admit that tax dodgers are costing the country more than benefit fraud?
