I have and couldn't find anything.

On one side of the bell (it sits on top of a pottery plinth) it advertises Ginger Ale & Soda - Patent 9396, It looks like Henry (definite) Chapman (possibly) Chemist Scarborough.

Have found in Bulmers directory 1890 a chemist named Henry Chapman Chemist and manufacture of areated water. Have also checked patent numbers and 9396 fits between 1856 and 1857

I have just inherited a bell which has always been said to have orginated from my Gt Gt Grandfathers pub in the 1870s and has then been used in other businesses along the way. Having shown the bell to a friend she thinks it is more 1920s. On the bell it states:- Jenkinson & Co Ltd Bartholomew Row Birmingham manufactures of Advertising Novelties. Can anyone please tell me when Jenksinson & Co Ltd were trading.

Many thanks
Debra
