I started watching it but hubby had to wake me a couple of times so I taped it to watch today. Looked good and by the sound of it, it was.

Yes thought it was good, and set in 1912 it's a bit different to other 'costume' dramas.

Thought it was very like film Gosford Park, then read they have the same script writer...Julian Fellowes

Thought this Downton Abbey was a little like Upstairs Downstairs from the 70`s...

A star studded cast and plenty of mystery and double crossing to keep me entertained, must admit i probably wouldn`t have watched it if the advertising for it hadn`t been so good over the last few weeks.....playing snippets of it to a choir singing Every Breath you Take the hit by The Police was really well done.

Period dramas are the best. Downton Abbey was quite good, perhaps a bit early to tell. Try "North & South" with Richard Armitage, or any of the Austen adaptations. "Little Dorrit", "Candleford to Lark Rise" (or is the other way around?), "Cranford". All great! And many of the same actors too ;)

Just watched this did anyone else?

I don`t usually like costume dramas but thought this was really good.
