Okay the laptop is now home minus hangover. We ended up getting a new external keyboard for it. Not bad only 30 euros compared to 100 euros for an internal one, and having an external isn't a problem.
Apart from the fact of having to get used to using the keyboard below the mousepad, and a slightly larger one at that, there are a few other quirks.
Ha ha it's a Spanish keyboard but because it's logged into an english pc the most of the keys work as the UK one does not as states on keys so where ( is 9 on UK it is 8 on Spanish (should have learnt to touch type ) lol
I say most but not all the alt/gr key is correct on the new keyboard as is the alt +e for euro sign.
I can't find the delete button on the new one ..it's not where the old one was *sobs*
has anybody got a foreighn keyboard and where oh where is detele on it

Wend ask them if your in the cafe, hope you are having a good time in Mojacar . One time we will meet half way over the mountains ...sounds good to me!?

I´ve been struggling with my Spanish lappy for over 18 months. Nothing is where it should be. Have only just found the "Enter" button & only then by googling an example of a Spanish keyboard for instructions.
The very best of luck to you is all I can say.
