i definitly think you should look into it gwen hun, that is a huge amount to pay fr night care, especially when most over night carers just sleep over incase there needed, and arnt actually up all night,

id give your local ss a ring when yo get home and ask for help, incase your fmaily go away agin,

surely your friends should be with you as you cant be alone, i wouldnt be to pleased if they invited you to stay then just left you in a caravan, and i would question there friendship, if im honest hun,

shal we play eye spy to keep you amused hun lol,
seriously next time take lots of books to read haha xxx

Gwen, I cannot understand why you would be charged so much for night care. When we went on holiday our local social services arranged night care for my father at a nominal fee. It's an entitlement here when you have a certain level of carer's allowance.

I thought it would be the same in every county. Maybe you should ask the CAB for advice before they go away again. I think social services may be trying to fob you off, as they do.

Plenty of people in the same boat Gwen, but they can't leave their own homes at all.

Yes its raining, but you expect autumn weather in October. And are your friends here with you ? or do they go off & do their own thing even if there is no transport & its raining ?

Its worse when you pay through the nose for a British holiday in August & have rain everyday like we did one year Grrr !

At least you are a\way, and at least you have a window to the world with you. even if you are unable to get out due to the weather.
