Can anyone tell me what age was legal for marriage in 1890? On one certificate I have the person is stated as 17, but their birth certificate dates them as only being 15 in 1890. Would this be a legal marriage in 1890, if she was only 15? I don't know when the legal age of 16 came in. Any information would be helpful. Thanks. |
