OH JUDE........... It makes me cringe just thinking of the process....
WHY would you want to hurt yourself, a nice new outfit wouldn't hurt you, and would lift your spirits! ;-0)

Enjoy it, and hope it is beautiful when you get it.

Hope it turns out just as you want it to Jude, brave lady you are lol

My son has wanted one for years but luckily has never had the money so maybe he will grow out of it, says me hopefully lol

O.h.'s son, the scrounging one who lives in NY, has loads, he has had more done since he went to America altho he always reckons he has no money, even when he was travelling alone over there and scrounging money off his dad (and Mum no doubt) he had them done, funny how he always found the dosh for that and his ciggies.

I did have a 'tattoo' briefly, I had a black rose on my upper arm, but that was the weekend I was 50, and it's gone now lol At that time my arms were more toned and slightly tanned and for my party I turned up with a black rose about two inches long on my left arm. Several people cottoned on to the fact it was a transfer - there was no redness and it hadn't been there the day before, nor had I had time to go and get it done with getting food ready for the party etc but o.h. fell for it and was saying Look at Liz's tattoo, wasn't she brave? silly idiot lol

I think it's lovely to do something you've always wanted tho and hope you will be happy with it Jude
I think maybe if I was a young woman nowadays I would have a small one done somewhere cheeky lol

To be honest l don't know, l've just been fascinated by some. l don't like the big ones, nor seeing someone covered in them. l've always been interested in American Indians, birds, nature, so the feather depicts all of those. l'll have my own feather:o) It will be very small...when l'm old and wrinkly it probably won't even show.........lol
l want to watch, it should take 15-20 mins.

Tinky...what made you have one?

ditto....BUT..... tattoos (and ear piercings) are a tradition of more than 2000 years, so those that do are only continuing it. MInd you, I'd be extremely cross if any of mine had one done. Luckily, they've come to the same conclusion.

I have just read this thread and have only one question to ask, why do people have tattoos?

I ask this because I was put off even thinking about having a tattoo many years ago when I was a nurse at a major London hospital and some of the older ladies who were admitted had tattoos and as they aged and wrinkled,( just the stage I am near to now) the tattoos looked awful!

Jude,

Can I just ask, what has prompted you to do this?

Nothing unusual in a bird with feathers ,but you will find yourself flying in circles, lol, unless you get one on the other wing to match.

Tattoo:o)))

Tuesday lunch time...l am so excited, have waited for years to pluck up the courage, more cause of whether it will hurt or not, not having the actual tattoo.
It will be a feather, very small on my wrist, at a later date l will add small ribbons:o)
