My son bought a 2008 Seat Leon FR in April.
Yesterday his partner was driving the car and after she parked it up the headlights would not switch off. She then got back into the car and drove it home. After parking the headlights went out as usual. Later in the day they went shopping and parked in the car park. As they were walking towards the store the car alarm went off.
Today my son got into the car and turned the ignition key. There are no dashboard lights and the car will turn over but not start. It sounds exactly like it has run out of petrol but there IS a quarter of a tank in it.

Any ideas please.
