Sometime ago there was a thread about houseleeks...googling I decided 1 of my plants is just that.
What I want to know is they are now at the end of their flowering, how do I split them, there was 4 now 8/9 and all grown so over flowing the pot.
Do I just dig one out and move it even tho' they are on top of each other.

nb I presume it is a houseleek cos the pictures fit

Does it have 'babies' to the side Uzzi? you should be able to tease the roots of these little ones away from the main one.

mmm not babies as the aloe vera does, but I guess they must have done to have so many more. I'm hoping that each cabbage/ cauli shape plant is individually rooted.

Rose if they were babies then they are fully grown now so I'm not sure but the flowering bits were on long stems 14/18inch high.

I will go with one head is one plant so after flower I can transplant

Roger it never grew babies quite like that. ..I don't think. more like the aloe vera plants do.

Hello Uzzi , I'm wondering if what you are growing might be " Echeverias " as opposed to Houseleeks ( Semperviviums ) , both plants look very similar but I don't think that Echeverias have babies hanging off them .

amanda I'm not 100% they are house leeks. these aren't like the monkey plant where the seed grow out and plant nut like the aloe vera plants where babies just grow at the side
if you understand what I mean

sheesh I always knew green fingers was a bad move.
