Susan, I have that little dream too, just for an hour or so. Most times I end up checking online as I miss the tv reports and really, I don't think I could hide my elation from o.h. if I did win a large amount lol
He never does the lottery or anything similar, I have a problem getting him to buy raffle tickets at fetes, he is so tight.

Well I thought that as long as I don't check it, there is always the hope that I have won. I haven't checked saturday's yet, either.

Oh Susan, my dear friend, I do hope you can find the ticket lol
They haven't said where it was sold from yet, so no idea what part of the country, or have I missed something?

I am not surprised the winner hasn't made contact, they are probably still so shocked they can't speak or are trembling too much to call the number.

I hope it's a large syndicate, that much money is ridiculous for just one person, unless they are the sort who will help lots of charities and such from it.

Should it be a winner who is selfish and greedy, it would be such a waste

Didn't win the ordinary lottery either :<(((

And mine was soo close. I only needed each of my numbers to be a couple either way and I'd have shared the top price....!

A British ticket won a record £113.4m on the Euromillions lottery.

Published: 11:56PM BST 08 Oct 2010

Beating odds of 76,275,360 to one, just one of the tens of millions of players managed to match all seven numbers to scoop the jackpot of £113,374,997.83.

The amount puts them in equal 589th place on the Sunday Times Rich List, which is richer than the BeeGees (£110m) but just poorer than Earl Spencer.

The previous biggest British lottery win was £84.4m in May, also in the EuroMillions draw. The identity of the ticket holder, which may have been a syndicate, was never disclosed.

In February, Nigel Page and his partner Justine Laycock won a then-record £56 million.

Before yesterday, the previous highest Euromillions winner was a Spanish player who won £110.2m (126,231,764 euros) in May 2009.

Earlier in the evening, online ticket sales were disrupted for half an hour as connections were lost between Camelot, which runs the lottery in the UK, and some banks.

If last night's ticket was owned by a single person, it will be the second biggest lottery win in history.

The world's largest non-syndicate lottery winners shared £244.3m ($390m) in March 2007, on the US game Mega Millions. The two winning ticket-holders were from New Jersey and Georgia.

The most valuable single ticket was a win of £228.6m on another US game - Powerball - in February 2006. However, the money had to be shared among the syndicate of eight colleagues from a Nebraska meat processing plant.
