i live in hope he is still alive and one day recognises pictures, or at least has some kind of recognition of his mam if he sees her on tv,
there woulo have to be some kind of draw to her,

and for maddie mccann
i know they both may speak different languages now,
but i still hope and pray they are found alive and well

http://www.helpfindben.co.uk/ - This is a brand new website set up by his family in a renewed effort to find him, it is linked to a new facebook page so if any site members are Facebookers please consider 'liking the page' and sharing it with your contacts, as the only way he will be found if alive is if he or someone who knows him recognises the likeness

Awful for his family to be celebrating his 21st without him, they put a card up or something, I saw it on tv yesterday.

Hope you are alive and well and celebrating your birthday somewhere Ben, altho I suppose the people who took you might have changed the date of your birthday to help hide your identity.

Happy 21st Birthday Ben, hope one day that you find your way home

I don't think Ben ever got anywhere near the high level of exposure, at the time, that the Madeleine Mcann case got to be honest. I just hope they are both alive and well and are eventually reunited with their parents.

He could if alive be in America, Canada, Europe, or further afield, there is a possibility that he has no idea that he is 'adopted' or may have no interest in seeking his birth parents.

I was heartbroken for his Mum and the family, couldn't imagine how he could disappear so quickly without trace at the time. Having seen it happen again with Maddy it makes you realise what awful people there are around.

It would be wonderful if one day both these youngsters could be reunited with their families.

And it could be that he doesn't even speak English.

I remember Ben. A lovely little blonde haired lad.
How could she get though life without him, bless her.
There was a lot of news about Ben, just as with Madeline...
Even though their parents may not recognise them, even though the children may not now want to came back to what would be a family of strangers.... it would as you say, give closure to those poor people.

I remember Ben's story, reminds me of that of Maddie McCann. Terrible for the parents.

It really is every parents nightmare.
He probably has a different name as well so wouldn't know what he was once called.
Thoughts for all parents in this awful situation.

I remember the Ben Needham story, and often wonder where he is and what he is doing now. I hope he has lived a nice life so far, and not been hurt, or had to face fear or hardship.
It's quite possible he doesn't even know his true background as he was taken at such a young age - isn't that terrible, to think that he could be totally unaware of who he really is.

I can't even begin to imagine what his parents must have gone through since that day.

It would be nice if the family were able to find him even if at nearly 21 he either did not want contact or wanted his new identity to be hidden from the media,

I just hope wherever he is that he has had a happy life and been loved by the family that have raised him.

Hard as it is, if they were to find him now he would be a complete stranger and might not want to return.

His story and that of his family has always touched me. I think many UK members may know of the case but not sure how well known it is internationally as it is now no longer as high profile as the Maddie case.

There is also a face book group set up by his mum as well

Would be nice if they could have closure somehow
