It would be nice if people receiving emails would reply, even if the subject turns out not to be part of their tree.........

Quite so, Joan,

it is like the reply given to people that have posted replies to councils etc( when the letter has gone astray)

I have several messages "opened" and no reply - if members would just send an auto reply if they have no connection, at least you would have an answer.

I sent 3 awhile ago. One has been open but no reply. Just a yes or no be nice. Or i am looking into it be back to you.

I always reply with something.

Maybe some dont know how to.

hi peeps, would you mind me adding that when we help others in locating whatever is being asked, that a thankyou for helping wouldnt go amiss and also some post for help and then even after lots of help never come back to say its the right info.

i have also sent a few emails that have either never been opened or have and have not received a reply. it is annoying sometimes but theres not much you can do really.
