try mixing the chicken with a tiny amount of chicken flavoured dog food, gradually adjusting till you can leave out the chicken. It might be a good idea to add a little cooked rice if they will accept it.

Hi Betty, Ive got 2 of the little monsters, and they had until quite recently never eaten dog food they would eat polony, sausages chopped freshly cooked chicken, and ham they did get over weight and the vet put them on a diet , I think I bought every brand of dog food that has been put on a shop shelf plus specialist food for dogs and nothing ,the vets kept telling us leave it down and they will eat it !!!! OH NO THEY NEVER , after 3 days they were visably suffering so we gave them some chicken, now have managed to give them meat mixed with some dried food ( bakers) and they eat all that . It has been a long few months but we are winning now with the feeding , They are small dogs but such strong characters .

Pam
Hope this helps

my dogs are 5 and 7 and they have never been given chocolate or sweet things

I am unable to get my chihuahua to eat any normal dog food. I even went to the pet shop and ordered food just for this breed.

Has anyone had the same problem?
