Please can somebody help me...I had someone contact me yesterday concerning a very small portion of his family tree (3 people) that was part of my family tree. I helped him as much as possible and sent hm records and opened my tree for him. I just received a very nasty and abusive message from out of the blue, for what reason, I know not what!

Can anybody tell me how to block him from my contacts...I don't need this sort of person contacting me.

I think you will need to contact GR and ask them to block his contact with you. I would also take away his access to your tree.

Thank you Kath....I have blocked him from viewing my tree, and will get in touch with with GR.
I will also ask for a Block Button to be added on our trees so we can click it and don't have to put up with this type of person.
He is the first person in years of research who has been abusive to me...thankfully everyone I have been in contact with...and there have been hundreds....regards our f/trees have all been very nice until now.

Oh well, we can't win em all can we?

Glad to hear GR are sorting this for you. I must admit that in 7 years of membership I have not had this problem myself but I can imagine that it is not a very pleasant experience. I really can't understand why people behave in this way.

I had, in the past ,PM's from two people who were making a nuisance of themselves, and more recently, someone who was doing abit of stalking. I reported them to GR, and they blocked them from contacting me again.
