I would love to discover some Canadian Innuits (sp) in my line that would be very cool. My MacKendiries came from Scotland I have a lovely tartan for them.

Hello young Rose,

All my ancestors come from Scotland, mostly Fife, but I was the only one born in England.
I seem to have a slight bonding with Scotland, but not to those bloody bagpipes...lol
I think I have lived too long here to really, to have a strong bonding.
I do find myself reading books related to Scotland, and seem to be always watching history programs about there, so probably subconsciously i do have a bonding even though it be slight.

Mac. Foggy....lol

I always feel very English, though my parents feel very Irish. It's funny the stuff past down through families customs etc. One thing about being multi-national is if my daughter never gets to play for England we can confirm several other countries she could play for.

If your grandparents or gt gt's came here from overseas ( or even from Scotland or Wales to England ) do you feel you have a personal link to their country of origin? That the culture or history of that country is part of who you are, even though you may not ever have lived there or visited?

I feel that very much with my 'Irish side'.
