I'd just like to pop in and say thanks to all, as I have had a 'Softonic' something like toolbar for some time and didn't know how to get rid of it. Amazingly, I have now got one less toolbar!

Thank you all.

Bumping up again to see if anyone can help me again please.

Update - Phew - it's ok now, panic over, I've managed to find them again! I'm going to leave well alone now, in case I mess anything else up! :-)

Thanks Ann and Frank.
No, Eddie's idea didn't work unfortunately.
While I was trying to do what Ann suggested, I've messed it up.
I've clicked on something and now the Tools, Add ons, View etc are not there anymore.
Help - how do I get them back?

Think Frank is right - I suspect that my problem started after I did an update on something.

If that didn't work go to view and tool bars, you can get rid of the yahoo tool bar that way. To add a programme into your firefox tool bar go to bookmark, then click on the down arrow and it will give you the bookmark toolbar option.

At the top of the window is Tools. Click on that and then check Add-ons. It it is there you can disable or uninstall.
If it is n't there it should be in Add and Remove programmes in the Control Panel.

Hi,
I'm hoping that someone can help me with a problem please.
I use Mozilla Firefox and I used to be able to put a site in the tool bar at the top, and it would take me straight to that site. For example - if I typed in Ebay uk, it would go straight there.
Now though, it takes me to Yahoo and gives me lots of hits. No idea how that happened.
Please, can someone tell me how to get rid of yahoo so it can go back to normal so I can go straight to the sites I want.
