Hi all, I'm a newbie on the forum but not on GR.
Does anyone know why can you only look at one page of a census instead of like Ancestry where you can search a whole district if you wish by going 'along the streets' around a relatives house ? Sometimes famlies can be carried over the page -- what then?? I find it really frustrating!

Dont use genes records, but you are able to flick the pages of the original census data on Find MY Past.

I have seen this mentioned before and, apparently, one has to ask the powers that be in order to see the next page. Most odd.

In records offices, one winds the film from page to page or scrolls along the microfiche from page to page, and in the ancestry and find my past sites, and the Mormons;, for instance, 1881, one scrolls from page to page.

I think it is because GR does not carry the records

they re-direct you to another site (presumably findmypast now that they are members of the same "stable" of companies!)

and I assume that is why you cannot turn the pages!

Note that they also charge you to look at bmds, when you can look at them for free on www.freebmd.org.uk!
