About people leaving - many because they've been 'got at' by other members.
Do you think children should be taught internet 'etiquette'?

I'm sure many people, had they been talking face to face with the other person wouldn't have had the nerve to be as rude/abusive/horrible to the person they upset.
Of course, with such a range of different people on the internet, you are bound to come across someone who just grates on your nerves.
If this happens in 'real life' - you cross the road to avoid them, which is what (I believe) you should metaphorically do on the 'net', you don't stand in their way and start spouting a mouthful of vective at them.
However, some small minded people take the anonimity and freedom of not 'seeing the eyes' of someone to be nasty.
These people, to my mind, are without empathy, imagination or manners and should be pitied.
By pitied, I don't mean you should feel sympathy, I mean you should regret their situation - after all, they're just sad planks!!

But they're SAD planks - all floppy - useless for division. They LOOK like they can divide, but one push in the right place with the little pinkie and they fall over!!

Work your little pinkies!!!

Power to the pinkies - power to the pinkies right now!

I think it's the adults that need to be taught netiquette more than the children. I would imagine many young ones have a better idea of how to behave on the net than some parents.
