Hi Jan,
What a lovely story.
I too met 4 of my cousins I knew nothing about 3 years ago now .
We were all very nervous but got on like a house on fire and I have travelled to Scotland many times to have a catch up with them .

Good luck for your 1st meeting,

jean

Just a quickier before I go to my dad's.

My dad had 1 brother, but due to a family rift back in the late 50's they lost contact and I never met him or his children.
In August this year we recieved an email from a website called Old Ladywood, this site was set up for people to remember the area of Birmingham that we come from and Dad had sent them a photo of his school with him and his brother on.
The email was forwarded by the site owner from my dad's nephew and we have been in contact with him by phone and email. This week in contact with my cousin I tol him thatvit was dad's birthday today and that I was sure he woul love a card from him, well instead of posting it, my cousin is going to brin it up personally and surprise Dad. I now have butterflies in my tum as I am looking forward to meeting my cousin for the first time.

I'll let you know later on tonigh how it goes as we are going out for a meal tonight.

Helen
