Well done to Lissy, Dawnie, I hope she enjoys the work at college and in the stables. Maybe she can find a small part time job to help her out as well, as the petrol etc will cost.

My son has been working three jobs lately, one of them a temp job which is now and then but means he doesn't get a lot of sleep, he goes from his day job to another with just an hour to get there and eat too, and then works till 2am but it's an extra £60 a time after tax so is helping him get some money together to get a new computer and a new carpet for his flat. He also works on a Saturday afternoon in a Schuh store in the city.

Dawnie,

Well done to Lissy - it is so much better to have a job you enjoy than a little extra money. I wish her well. Happiness is worth a fortune.

thanks Gwyn
a lot better than sitting at home job hunting and getting moody as there is nothing about. She'd rather work for nothing than sit at home and get the dole.

Thanks ladies for your messages for Lissy and for keeping things crossed she is now on an apprenticeship.she will start college in January one day a fortnight and work at the stables for a few hours a week . Ok the money is rubbish and a lot less than being on the dole but it will be doing something she loves and will give her a qualification at the end of it and she hates not working so she is a happy bunny.

You can all undo your crossed legs, fingers arms and whatever else you had crossed lol.
