Member Since: August 2010 Posts: 14 Send Message	Hello. I am trying to trace my deceased grandmother's family from Belfast. Her name was Mary Martin (married name Dooley) and she was born in Feb 1919, and the family were resident in Lepper Street, Belfast. Her father was Samuel Martin, a labourer. I am new to this site and wondered is this the correct way to tracked down the family or its descendants, or should I be placing adverts in the local newspaper of the area? I would be grateful for somebody to let me know, please. Many thanks

	You could try searching for her father in the 1911 and 1901 Irish census - these are free - copy and paste, please: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/. Also, it is worth (again free) subscribing to and posting on the Belfast forum: http://www.belfastforum.co.uk/index.php Happy hunting :-)
