Interesting thread I have sent off for some purple poppies and wrist bands from animal aid. I'm not a big animal fan - am allergic to most but do a lot of animal sponsorship and animal aid gave us the opportunity to make a donation also x |

I've not heard of the Purple poppy . My Mum was a Quaker and she never wore a Red poppy ( Quakers being conscientious objectors ) but wore instead a White poppy , which was to symbolise remembrance for all civilians and animals that died in war conflicts , she used to lay a white poppy wreath at the local war memorial after everyone else had left . |

Yeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyy my purple poppies and wristbands arrived today took 3 working days to arrived. They are very well made and look lovely. They do badges as well but had sold out. Animal Aid sent a lot of stuff for myself and girls to read through too x |
