CROWDER from Langley Marish (Bucks)

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

Valeria Report 4 Nov 2010 14:08

I am working on my tree. Most of my family comes from a village Langley Marish (in Buckinghamshire). It is now part of Slough.
I have gone as far as 1700's but I have gaps and would love to know of anyone sharing information - either of my family or the life in Langley :D

My direct relatives are Frederick Crowder, born 1881 (moved to Argentina and married there); his father Frederick born 1850 (married Lucy Allan - b in Exeter, and moved to Argentina); and his father Frederick born 1819 (who married Hannah Rich or Richards).
Thanks!

Valeria, you have a thread on Records Office. The rule of the site is one post per topic, so that different people don't spend (waste) time doing the same research if they happen to see the same question on different boards at the same time.

Neither General nor Records Office is actually the best place for your thread. You would do better to post it somewhere like Surname Information, being sure to fill in the surname line with the surname Crowder. That will send the post to the Crowder "surname board" where anyone who looks for posts about that name in future would see it. (It will also appear on the complete Surname Information board where anyone else who could help can see it.)

I would delete both this post and the one on Records Office (since no one has yet spent time on them) and put a new one on Surname Information. Maybe send private messages first to the two people who replied on the other board (click on their names) to thank them.

Note - you can find all your threads at any time by clicking "My threads" on the left of your monitor.
