Hi Maggie - if you are trying to find relatives, you may be better off either searching trees for various names, or putting a specific request on the Trying to Find boards. You will need to state the name, yob and district, with as much information as you know.

There are also the social network sites such as Facebook and Friends Reunited for people still alive.

Even though the chances of someone reading this, or any other thread you put up, actually 'knowing' a person are minimal, people may be able to find further details for you.
