Following a promotion, among many others, in the national press, and on TV, I took myself up to the T**co in town to avail myself of the ****** Scampi, Buy 1, get two free. And, guess what, the freezer was bare. So, I had a word with the Customer Services Manager, in my best refined English language, who eventually, went to have a look 'in the back'
He came back, and told me there was none. So, I asked, will you sell me ***** Scampi, at the same deal. No, he was not authorised to do that. We may be having a delivery at 7.00, tonight. Not good enough I told him. And I also told him, still maintaining my politeness, to remember what is happening in the next town on Monday.
We're having a brand new £25m A**a opening, and I do know that, because there is not alot of money around here, that people will let their purses to the walking.
There has long been an attitude, that anything will do for this little town, and I do not think it is good enough.
End of this rant.

Healthy competition might make T**co sit up and think about their customers Julia.

We have got a massive S******ys opening 30 minute drive from my house, it is one of the 3 biggest in the country with sports dept, baby equipment, clothes etc. I think it maybe competition for other retailers around.

The store should have given you a credit note or somthing if the goods are not in stock.
OH got one from the C*- *p when some dishwasher liquid was out of stock and was told even if it was not on offer he could have it when avalable.

Its all about customer service at the end of the day really.

I got a promissory note from Sainsbury's when i complained the special offer section for an item was completely bare. Told the section supervisor we only shop once a week for a main shopping and its always been at the same store since it opened . He said no problem and said use the note the next time you are in at the offer price.I did and got the reduced price even tho was no longer on offer.

Hi gals, he didn't offer me anything. How I kept my cool, and did not play the fishwife, I don't know. It is about time they had competition in this area. Just about every descent shop on the high street in this small town has closed since they opened. There used to be no less than nine butchers in this town, and six florists. Now it is all different nationality take-aways, and charity shops.
I am normally a M****sons persons, which is in the next town, and we do have access to S***burys about 5 miles away, which I use as a treat.
But, working on the premis that it is my money, and I can spend it wherever I like, I am going to have nosey around the new A**a, next week.
Have a good evening all
