Thanks for the email Liz, I think some of it needs washing, so will do as you suggest. We have to sort out the different "sets" and make them up, and then our younger son in London will have his, and the rest will go to Canada. It is a good idea to send it a bit at a time, |

Not being rude Liz, but is it grubby? I think you can wash it inside pillowcases in the washing machine if so. Do you have any of the boxes with the pictures on? You might like to do a few of the items and send them gradually or let your other son take some over in his luggage. It might be quite exciting for the children to get a few at a time and they could practice on small amounts and then be thrilled to receive a new pack with more to use as time goes on. Their Mum could get used to stepping on a few bits at a time lol Oh, doesn't it hurt if you accidentally stand on a piece lol? |

Many thanks, we have just spent a few hours starting to sort it out - didn't realise the boys had so much, it has been in the loft for years. |

We are not sure of the weight yet, at the moment we are sorting into the various "types", will post on this thread again when it is ready and weighed, |

How much does it weigh? Anything over a few kilos and it will be cheaper to take it as excess luggage. |

Sending packages from Canada to the UK, I have been told by the PO that sending them by sea (so-called) is almost as quick as sending by air, and VERY much cheaper. They do go by air regardless, but if the load is full, the surface packages go in last. if it's not a busy time of year they may arrive very quickly. I've never had to wait a long time to hear that packages have arrived. I'm sure it works the same way in reverse. |

This is a suitcase full which belonged to our sons, I used to love playing with it. Our grandaughters in Canada are too old for Duplo now, so our son thought we may like to post it out!!! |

Our younger son is going to Canada for Christmas, so he may take it as excess baggage, depending on the cost. Thanks for the advice re packing, not using a suitcase will make it lighter. |

Many thanks, it is a large suitcase full of Lego, which our elder son has asked if we could send out for his daughters. |

Many thanks, it does not have to be there for Christmas. Will have to weigh it and measure the box, and make enquiries, |
