Disappointing end to Downton Abbey

I thought the end of the series was sad and would have liked to see one happy ending for someone.
Look forward already to the next series, some time next year it said on tv

(only just watched what I recorded on Sunday but there's a repeat of last weekend's part this coming Sunday I think.)

Also watched The Little House, that was a bit of a strange drama.

Morning Liz, alas they dont do happy endings these days, do they?, but I love the programme and am pleased there is another series, I wonder if Larkrise is coming back I havent heard anything, but I do hope so, I will be in touch very soon take care.

Yes I agree Liz, I am thinking of buying the DVD as I kept falling asleep through every episode, it was a good series though.

I agree, Liz, I expected a neat, happy ending, went to bed feeling a bit let down. Now we have to wait to see if Lady Mary marries Matthew Crawley.

But what quality acting, sets and storylines.

For someone who dosn`t watch Period Dramas I absolutely loved Downton Abbey..


Thought it was really well done, but have left a few cliff hangers for the next sereis to make sure we tune in.

Like you Liz I watched The Little House , but felt the ending a bit weird......glad the evil MIL was no longer around to cause trouble, but it looked as though the "fragile" DIL may have been turning in to her?

I didn't say it was a shambles, just that I would have liked a few happier bits at the end, that's all. Seemed to be a lot about revenge in there!

Jean, I just googled and there is to be a 4th series of Lark Rise, can't wait lol

As for The Little House, the ending sort of made me wonder if the young Mum was in fact a bit odd herself. The m.i.l. was awful tho and neither of the men would stand up to her altho I am sure they could see what she was doing.

Hope my son doesn't end up with a m.i.l. like that !
