I used to give names to cars.Things like "Slowcoach"
The only registration that I will remember always.
POR 40 G on a green Saab---"Poor frog"!

LOL Irene I asked my Husband and son if they remember their car registrations and after a few moments they did, at least my memories are more useful LOL.

Yes - my OH can remember the number plate of every car we have ever owned - really really useful information

Womens brains work differently! My OH cant remember half his relatives but I can name all those he had contact with. I can put names to most of the people in his aunties wedding photo from the thirties. Yet ask him to name the fifty or so pets we have had and I bet he can remember most of them!

My Brother is 2 years older than me, yet I clearly remember taking some of our "old" toys to a Childrens hospital not far from where we lived, Mum said it was because they wouldn't get much and Father Christmas would know that we had been good.

I asked my brother about a certain Aunt - who I know he was close to when we were young - he denied even knowing who I meant

3 years later unearthed old photos of them together - covering several years - the last one he must have been a teenager at the very least

He said "Oh her" "Yes" I said " Aunt Edie" -

His reply " I only remember her as Auntie - never knew her other name"

We often talk about the goings on of our past and I can remember things but my Brother can not and looks at me as if I am from said planet, but yesterday i bought a book on the area we grew up in and low and behold there are pictures and info on subjects I can remember, can't wait to show him lol lol.
